I describe these short yoga breaks as weekends rather than retreats as the emphasis is on you taking time for YOU. The Oxford dictionary’s definition for the weekend is Saturday and Sunday, especially regarded as a time for leisure. Digging a little deeper into the meaning of leisure captures the essence of what the yoga weekend is all about. Breathing space. Time off. Relaxation. Rest. Ease. Pleasure. Freedom.
“Thank you so much for such a lovely weekend. I really loved your teaching and feel totally renewed by the practice. You have a very special teaching style and I feel lucky to have been able to experience the process of the weekend.” – Sara, March 2020 –
So with that in mind, I am inviting you to join me for a weekend of yoga in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Let me take care of all the details while you unplug & take time out for yourself.
One night, two days, three yoga sessions, and plenty of time off the mat to do as you wish. Practice yoga in an airy, bright studio. Swim in the pool or relax in the therapeutic heat of the jacuzzi & steam rooms Curl up with a book. Rest. Do whatever it is that you want to do at that very moment.
Come on your own, enjoy the space & your own company or bring a friend or a loved one. Be quiet, be social, or perhaps a bit of both? Create your ideal weekend for you & your needs.
De Vere Cranage Estate in Cheshire is less than an hour’s drive away from Manchester. The weekend runs from Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon making it easier to fit around work & family commitments.
““Thank you for an absolutely lovely, relaxing, rejuvenating weekend. This was my first yoga retreat, and it couldn’t have been better. The classes were perfect, totally relaxing and I felt as if I was away for a lot longer than 2 days. The schedule worked really well; I thought you got the balance just right.” – Wendy, Sept 2022 –
Check-in anytime from 9 am on Saturday, ready for the first yoga class at 10.30 am. You have access to the leisure club so there is time for a morning swim. Lunch follows yoga after which you have free time to settle into your room & do as you wish. There is another yoga session late Saturday afternoon & again Sunday morning after breakfast. We round up the weekend with coffee or tea served with homemade cake & flapjacks.
