“One of the most beautiful gifts in the world is the gift of encouragement. When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwise never have crossed on your own.” – John O’Donohue, Eternal Echoes
Encouragement has become a focal point of the Yoga Weekends at Cranage Hall.
During the course of a weekend…..
I’ll encourage you to bring your awareness into your body
I’ll encourage you to do as much or as little as feels good for you.
I’ll encourage you to explore your boundaries & to follow your intuition
I’ll encourage you to relax & to let me take care of the rest.
With that in mind, I’m inviting you to join me for a weekend of yoga in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
“The time at Cranage is a treat to myself. Yoga is the thread and is the building block of the weekend, the studio is beautiful. The people are warm, welcoming and friendly and your calm and funny presence lends itself to a nurturing, therapeutic time. It was fun, playful and much appreciated” – Sue D, May & November 2024
One night, two days, three yoga sessions, and free time to do as you wish.
We’ll practice yoga in an airy, bright studio. Between sessions you can swim in the pool or relax in the therapeutic heat of the jacuzzi & steam rooms Spend the afternoon reading or simply resting.
Come on your own, enjoy the space & your own company or bring a friend or a loved one. Be quiet, be social, or perhaps a bit of both? Create your ideal weekend for you & your needs.
De Vere Cranage Estate in Cheshire is less than an hour’s drive away from Manchester. The weekend runs from Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon making it easier to fit around work & family commitments.
““Thank you for an absolutely lovely, relaxing, rejuvenating weekend. This was my first yoga retreat, and it couldn’t have been better. The classes were perfect, totally relaxing and I felt as if I was away for a lot longer than 2 days. The schedule worked really well; I thought you got the balance just right.” – Wendy, Sept 2022 –
I describe these short yoga breaks as weekends rather than retreats as the emphasis is on you taking time for YOU. The Oxford dictionary’s definition for the weekend is Saturday and Sunday, especially regarded as a time for leisure. Digging a little deeper into the meaning of leisure captures the essence of what the yoga weekend is all about.
Breathing space. Time off. Relaxation. Rest. Ease. Pleasure. Freedom.
Check-in anytime from 9 am on Saturday, ready for the first yoga class at 10.30 am. You have access to the leisure club so there is time for a morning swim. Lunch follows yoga after which you have free time to settle into your room & do as you wish. There is another yoga session late Saturday afternoon & again Sunday morning after breakfast. We round up the weekend with coffee or tea served with homemade treats.
